The vision of Patterns is to create Digital Bot Workers [DBW] for banks and a platform that helps human and robot to interact and collaborate seamlessly. The larger vision is to provide banks with Digital Back Offices [DBOs] where DBWs can find a seat for themselves and perform their task.
In addition to the PDLs, the 3rd generation of DBWs from Patterns places quite lot of importance on the optimal use of the infra. Each DBW is powered by 1 core of CPU
and 4 GB RAM and can run on any available commodity server.
The available infra is used to create DBOs with Bot Worker Seats. The DBWs can take one of the available seats and complete the task assigned to them. Once the task is completed, the same DBW can be powered to perform a different operational task powered by the SOP.
The DBO is integrated with the Bank’s enterprise/channel/hub/workflow systems. Each Bot Worker is allotted an ID and a seat with working hours. In the DBO, Bot worker occupies the seat allotted and performs operational jobs allotted as per its entitlements and SOPs provided. The integration with the bank’s system happens at DBO level ensuring reuse by design enabling Bot workers to talk to any system they need via DBO integration channel.
DBOs give a new paradigm shift and will play a huge role in the journey of hyper automation. DBOs will provide exciting opportunities for the banks in their journey towards digital operations.
